'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 News & Spoilers: Nina Dobrev to Return As Villain's Sister; Salvatore Brothers Doomed In The Hands of the Most Evil of All Villains

"The Vampire Diaries" is on its last season and things are becoming darker and more intense in Mystic Falls. The next episode airing on Friday will show that Sybil is the most evil of all the villains that ever appeared in the series. It is also being teased that she could be possibly connected to the fan favorite, Elena Gilbert.

Nathalie Kelley who plays Sybil in “The Vampire Diaries”, spoke in an interview about the history of her character while at the same time admitting that indeed, Sybil is a true villain. The actress added that episode 4 titled “An Eternity of Misery” will explain the tragedy that made Sybil how she is today, cruel and manipulative reports Fansided.

In the same interview, “The Vampire Diaries” fans learned from Kelley that Sybil has a sister whose identity is not being made known yet. What has been revealed so far is that Sybil and her sister’s relationship is somewhat similar with that of the Salvatore brothers. Sybil and her sister are very different from each other just like Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley).

Many fans of “The Vampire Diaries” are speculating that Elena (Nina Dobrev) is Sybil’s sister. However, it is still too early in the season to confirm this. This could be the big set-up for Dobrev’s return to the series which many fans are hoping to see.

In the previous “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 episode, just as Stefan and Alaric already thought they had won over the Siren, things get complicated as Sybil manipulates her sister whose identity will be revealed in the next episode.

According to SpoilerTV, the coming “The Vampire Diaries” episode will show Damon heading to Texas to search for a mysterious artifact. While there, he will meet Peter Maxwell (Joel Gretsch) who is said to be revealing something important to Damon that will help him free himself from Sybil’s mind controlling power. If so, Damon can regain his humanity.

However, the Salvatore brothers seem to be doomed in the “The Vampire Diaries” teaser for the upcoming episode. Sybil can be seen telling Stefan that Damon can’t escape his fate. Stefan will be stabbed in the back by a still unknown assailant. Whether this will turn out to be Elena and if she really is Sybil’s sister will be known when the episode airs on November 11, Friday, on the CW.
