Call of Duty: Ghosts Wary Of Battlefield 4: Will Launch ‘Largest Marketing Plan’ To Occupy Market

Activision has made its intentions clear that it is ready to do just anything to occupy its top position in the market, competing with the likes of EA DICE’s upcoming Battlefield 4.

Recently, Activision revealed that it will be expending massive amounts of resources to ensure that the recently announced Call of Duty: Ghosts is able to stand tall against Battlefield 4.

The information was revealed by CEO Bobby Kotick at a recent investor Q&A, and it was here when Kotick revealed that the upcoming Ghosts will be “supported by one the largest marking plans in the brand’s history.” The move will come as the game will launch on current and next generation consoles.

He also discussed the impending danger from EA DICE saying that he’s expecting stiff competition from Battlefield 4.

The recent concern from Activision, before its next game hits the market, is understandable. Given how EA DICE hit a jackpot with Battlefield 3, selling over 20 million units since it first became official for retail, and also praised all over the planet for its ground-breaking graphics, Activision will leave no stones unturned before offering Ghosts for retail. By comparison, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 sold took in $1 billion in its first 15 days of release.

Moreover, both Ghosts and Battlefield 4 are scheduled for a fall 2013 release, and will see the start of the fight for supremacy over the next generation.

Call Of Duty: Ghosts will is expected to arrive with an entirely new storyline and engine, and will be the first Call of Duty title on next generation consoles.
