BMW Motorrad’s Limited Edition HP4 Race Advanced Prototype Specs Feature , Price Will It be the Bike of the Future?

The good folks over BMW (Bavarian Motor Works) are no strangers when it comes to speed. The public have seen many of their automobile and bike designs over the years, but today it seems like BMW has outdone itself as it unveils its latest creation, the BMW Motorrad's Limited Edition HP4 Race Advance Prototype.

The new design is sleek, speedy and eye catching to say the least. It is a bike that seems to have been taken out straight from the pages of a comic book or a science fiction movie. BMW Race Advance Prototype was revealed at the EICIMA 2016 in Milan, Italy.

The BMW Race Advance Prototype is the latest version of the HP4 that debuted in 2013 with one of the first semi-active suspension systems on the market. However, the company has not been exactly open when asked about the full details of the bike. According to Stephan Schaller, President of BMW motors, the Motorrad HP4 Race Advance Prototype will feature the full carbon fibre for its mainframe and carbon fibre rims.

Despite BMW not being so forthcoming about the full specs of the H4 Race Prototype, it is speculated to have the same features as the earlier HP4 model. According to reports, the standard HP4 carries a 999 cc inline-four cylinder with 16 titanium valves that puts out 193 hp at 13,000 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 9,750 rpm. The HP4 uses BMW Motorrad's Dynamic Damping System (DDC), along with traction control and ride modes.

Whatever the case maybe, it looks like BMW with its H4 prototype is stepping up into the world of fibre carbon technology. It will certainly give Ducati 1299 Superlaggera a huge competitor in the market.

The BMW H4 Race Prototype's market price is still unknown. However, upon its launching in 2017. It will surely be one of BMW's most expensive bikes. Considering that its predecessor, the BMW HP4 Motorrad had a starting selling price of $ 19,990.

Will the H4 Race Prototype be the bike of the future? Judging from it specs it could possibly pave the way for more advancements in the world of bikes from here on out.
