Resident Evil: Revelations: Capcom Reveals DLC Schedule

Capcom's hoping to bring the Resident Evil franchise out of the gloop that Resident Evil 6 sent it to. Resident Evil: Revelations, is out now for Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC now, and is set to hit the PS3 later on Tuesday.

To keep fans interested, Capcom has released a schedule letting them know when they can expect all the DLC, exclusive to the console ports. Check it out below:

May 21st - Sea faring costumes available for Chris, Jill, and Keith

Costumes are unlocked by playing through the game's Campaign and Raid modes, in addition to "other unlocking mechanisms"

June 4th - Resistance and Enhancement Weapon Upgrade Packs available for $1.99, offering six upgrade parts for each pack

June 11th - Rachael Ooze and Lady Hunk as playable characters for the game's Raid Mode, available for $2.99 each

June 18th - Weapons offered as pre-order bonuses available for $.99 each. Weapons include the familiar Samurai Edge pistol for Jill, high-powered Government pistol for Keith, and the G18 pistol with additional ammo capacity for Jessica

Set in 2005, Resident Evil: Revelations told the story of B.S.A.A founders Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine on one of the organizations very first missions. Gameplay wise, it's quite similar to Resident Evil 4 and 5, but received praise for trying to bring back the "survival horror" aspect that later games seem to be missing.

While zombies are notably absent, replaced by "Ooze," Revelations does see the return of an even more horrific version of Hunters. The majority of the game takes place aboard the luxury cruise liner, the Queen Zenobia, which features interiors highly reminescent of the mansion from the first Resident Evil. Like the first title, gameplay is also similar, focusing more on item management and puzzle solving, than the run n' gun gameplay the series seems to have devolved into, but keeps the camera style popularized in recent games.

Early reviews said the game was respectable, calling Revelations "more focused than Resi 6," and that it "sheds almost every awkward design decision that made the ambitious sixth outing ultimately directionless."
