UFC News: Nate Diaz Claims Credit To Conor McGregor's Popularity

Let's face it, Nate Diaz contribute to add popularity to Conor McGregor's career and he had been the stepping stone for him to contend against Eddie Alvarez in UFC 205. Now, Nate Diaz feels that the UFC just used him and felt disappointed why he was even left out during Conor McGregor's coronation.

"Why didn't I get tickets to this fight? I said, 'I'll leave him alone. I don't want to fight the guy. Just let me get a seat.' Me and my brother, they didn't want to let either one of us in here," said Nate Diaz in an interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN. "They want to hide me out, I think. Put him on more of a pedestal than they have already. It's whatever though."

Still, the frustrated Nate Diaz watched UFC 205 and he was bombarded once again with calls if he and Conor McGregor will break their deadlock with one match each.

"As soon as (McGregor wins), hundreds of people are turning around and staring at me," Diaz said. "I'm like, 'Hey, what do you want me to do? The UFC didn't even want to give me tickets to this fight. I think they gave Nick Jonas my seat."

Even with the win, Nate Diaz sounded bitter when he congratulated Conor McGregor on his victory to become the UFC's first two-division champion and be recognized as the best fighter in the world - in which he pities.

"Congratulations to Conor (McGregor). He did a great job, got the two belts -- but I just know that me and him both know what happened in (our) fights and that 'greatest of all time' stuff (to stop). I don't remember any of the greatest of all times getting worked over like (he was) in the last two fights."
