GoPro launched its first drone, Karma, with the aim of capturing moments and exploring sceneries irrespective of the height you are at. However, the drone system seems to have disappointed the tech savvy people as Karma UAV units started falling from the sky.
The moment the falling of the components of the drone was reported last week, the flourishing drone industry shattered. While it was believed that an action camera can be limited to terrestrial use, GoPro Karma enabled users to fly high and click shots to capture the adventurous experiences of life. The company, as a result, declared that it would need some time to make sure the efficiency issues of Karma are effectively dealt with.
GoPro Recalls Karma UAV Units
The loss of power while it operated was the main problem that the GoPro Karma suffered from. However, now the company indicated resuming its drone system service soon. It will possibly recall shipping Karma after some time. However, no date has clearly been mentioned yet. According to Tech News World, the recall of the drone system will see a huge change in the market as far as financial perspectives are concerned.
Frost & Sullivan's senior industry analyst Michael Blades said that the demand and supply chain will remain disturbed until a particular product reaches the market. He added that either same product should be in the market to satisfy customer demands or some replacement of that product should be introduced. "The longer Karma is sidelined, the less chance it has of grabbing significant market share," he said.
How to Return Your GoPro Karma
The recall announcement has been made on the GoPro official website. On the website, the Karma users who already purchased the device were requested to immediately return it to the store and get the refund. No explanation has yet been given regarding the crash of the drone system while on flight mode. As of this writing, there has also been no update from the company if it will introduce a newer version of Karma or will have a replacement for the same.
