Disney-ABC's latest television series of the Marvel Comics adaptation of "The Inhumans" is indeed coming to the big screen as well as being seen on the small screen. It has been confirmed that "The Inhumans" pilot episode will be released in over 1,000 IMAX theaters worldwide during The Labor Day in 2017.
"The Inhumans" will be one of the few creative and unique television series ever produced. It will be a combination of both traditional film and television where IMAX footages will be shuffled all over the series. It is reported by that the first two episodes of "The Inhuman" will be entirely filmed using the IMAX technologies and cameras.
Sources from The Hollywood Reporter said that IMAX will be funding the first two episodes of "The Inhuman" series with an undisclosed budget. The collaboration with IMAX would help ABC Studios and Marvel Television convince more producers to dive into the series.
"We think this is a quadruple win - a win for Imax, a win for Marvel, a win for ABC Studios and a win for ABC to launch a show in an innovative way and get attention," said Ben Sherwood Disney-ABC Television Group president. "The Inhumans" TV version has six remaining episodes and will be the filmed using the "tech to film" action sequences.
Vin Diesel was originally reported to play Black Bolt in "The Inhumans" movie before it became a TV series. Director Jamas Gun denied the report and said on Facebook that unless Vin Diesel wants to reduce his "huge pay cut", a role in "The Inhuman" series is "unlikely".
"The Inhumans" series will focus on Black Bolt and members of the Royal Family and will not be a spin-off of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" nor the original concept of the planned Marvel "Inhuman" film. "The Inhumans" series will be released in the IMAX theaters on September 4, 2017 and will premiere on ABC after two weeks.
