Uncharted 4 News And Updates: Future DLC Leaked, New Co-op Horde Mode

Even before the release of Uncharted 4, Naughty Dog has already announced that they plan to release a post-launch single player DLC similar to The Last of Us' Left Behind. But since then, information for the planned DLC was hard to come by. However now, there are already reports for the DLC including its story.

Reports state that the DLC was supposedly started near the end of the development for Uncharted 4. According to Jaffameister, a Sony insider tells us that the DLC will be revealed at the Playstation Experience event on December.  In addition, the report also states that attendees of the event will also get to demo the DLC, playing the game themselves.

Among other information revealed by the insider is main character of the DLC which will Samuel Drake, Nathan Drake's brother, the protagonist of Uncharted 4. Samuel Drake was heavily featured in Uncharted 4 but was never its focus. Samuel Drake will get his chance if rumors are true have his own stand alone story. Sully, Nathan's partner in crime since the first game will also be a focus in the DLC.

The DLC's story is supposed to be self contained, similar to The Last of Us' Left Behind. The site also believes, that Nathan Drake's daughter Cassie will not be in the DLC This is contrary to what most gamers believe that Cassie will be the future of the franchise and be the hero of future games using the DLC as a springboard. The report also suggests that Uncharted 4's DLC will be longer than The Last of Us' Left Behind which is clocked at around 2-3 hours.

Other news for Uncharted 4 includes a different DLC featuring a new co-op and single player survival mode that will launch in December. In it, players will have to survive 50 waves of enemies in order to finish the mode. And after every 10 waves, a boss battle will be initiated which includes the all new Pirate Warlords.

Waves will also have varying objectives to complete such as defending a particular area, collecting treasures within a time limit, or taking out marked enemies. Completing waves will reward players with currency to buy upgrades, weapons and abilities. The new DLC will be playable the Playstation Experience on December 3-4 in Anaheim California.
