On the last episode of 'The Flash,' Caitlin shows her chilling power as the Killer Frost. The question is, will she become a new hero or one of the show's villains?
Ever since the very first season of the show, fans have been waiting for Caitlin Snow to finally transform. Kevin Smith directed the seventh episode of "The Flash" season 3. The appearance of Killer Frost seemed very satisfying to the viewers who have waiting for Caitlin to show her abilities.
Killer Frost is one of the villain characters in several comic books published by DC Comics. She has three different versions in the comics, including Caitlin Snow who is currently part of the cast of TV series "The Flash."
According to TV Over Mind, "The Flash" series' biggest conflict about Killer Frost is the full conversion of her titular character into the villainous role from the comic books. Although this episode was titled "Killer Frost," Caitlin never really became her villainous persona and her mission was far from immoral.
Viewers were left wanting more from Killer Frost in "The Flash" series. Fans think that this version of the character has the potential to be awesome and it is still possible to draw Caitlin's slow descent into her villainous side out for the length of the season.
Powers don't automatically mean turn people to evil. Even though Barry "The Flash" said it as much in this episode, it still felt like viewers haven't had enough of an explanation as to why Caitlin went bad.
It is also a little unrealistic for Caitlin to go from wanting Alchemy to remove her powers, to suddenly threatening Barry's life. IGN reports that her actions proved that Caitlin isn't a villain yet, maybe not yet. She still cares about her friends like what she did on the previous seasons of "The Flash."
It shouldn't have to go back into Caitlin's story to explain why she went off the rails so quickly. It's entirely possible that the "The Flash" Killer Frost episode is just a taste of things yet to come.
