New Black Ops 2 DLC incoming, called Vengeance [Trailer]

Everyone else may be gearing up for Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is still going strong on current-gen consoles. In fact, it looks like a new map pack with a brand new weapon may be coming as DLC soon enough.

Dubbed Vengeance, the third DLC pack will offer a total a four "new" multiplayer maps, and a new weapon for the zombie mode called the "Ray Gun Mark II."

I say "new" because one of the maps, Uplink, is actually a remake of the Summit map from the first Black Ops game. The rest of the multiplayer maps are called Cove, Detour, and Rush. In addition to the new maps, there's also a new zombie adventure, called Buried, which will feature the new Ray Gun Mark II. Gamers may remember the original Ray Gun as a prominent weapon featured in the last few Call of Duty games, but it's unknown how this new one is different.

By offering a new weapon, the Vengeance map pack is similar to the first DLC map pack offered, Revolution.

Exact pricing details haven't been released as of yet, but it's expected to cost the same as previous map packs - 1200 MS Points for the Xbox 360, and $14.99 for PlayStation 3 and PC via Steam. It's unknown if the DLC will be making its way to the Wii U.

As usual, Xbox 360 players will be the first to get a hold of the DLC early next month, July 2nd. After 30 days, the DLC should then make its way to PC and PlayStation 3 platforms.

Treyarch's David Vonderhaar teased a shot of the new zombies map on Tuesday, but we now have an official new trailer footage to show off the new maps.

You can check out the official preview video below showing the maps and new gun in action.
