"Bones" Season 12 has finally been set for its most - awaited return after the rumoured delaying tactics of the Fox network. The season will be its last and final show after it was cancelled after season 12. The reason for the non-renewal is attributed to the lawsuits filed by the pillars of the series, David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel and executive producer Kathleen Reichs against the network.
It was revealed by Deadline that Boreanaz and Deschanel with Reichs claimed that Fox owed them $100 million of profits in a deal that that they had not been paid. Each of the claimants affirmed that they are to receive from a range of 3 to 5% from the profits of the show.
According to Gamenguide,"Bones" Season 12 will be Emily Dechanel's first directing job while she will play the role of Dr. Temperance Brennan. The last season will put the final closure to cliffhangers and issues left in the previous season.

"Bones" Season 12 will bring in a reunion of stars that includes the return of Eddie McClintock who will be playing as Special Agent Tim "Sully" Sullivan, Eric Millegan who will reprise his role as Zack Addy. Additionally, other guests who will come back are Stephen Fry as Gordon Wyatt, Betty White as Dr. Beth Mayer and Ed Asner among others.
It is good to know that even with the skirmishes between the stars, producers and Fox, the show has been given justice to have its final and grand bow. It has been reported by Premieredate that "Bones" Season 12 will have 12 episodes and the first episode "The Hope In The Horror" will have its premiere showing on January 3, 2017.
