'Overwatch' Competitive Play Season 3 Latest News and Update: Things Are Going to Be a Little Different and Spicy

It's no surprise that Blizzard's amping up the game with new "Overwatch" Competitive Play Season. But what really is in store for Season three. With various gimmicks and hero tweaks, Season 3 is going to be a different flavor this time around.

"Overwatch" was released last May and yet it has garnered a lot of attention. It's most likely due to its flagship, Blizzard; this company has been known to create games that have been loved through the years. It's no surprise that "Overwatch" would be in a great favor too. With the rise of eSports in the gaming community, Blizzard has introduced the competitive play in the game. In fact, "Overwatch" Competitive Play season 3 opened its doors today, December 1.

While it may not sound any different than the previous seasons, there's a lot in store for the "Overwatch" Competitive Play season 3. Much like any patches, there's a huge change on the skill rating; going as far as to deviate from the metrics used during Season 2. One of the biggest changes is shifting Symmetra from a support character to a defense character. This is most likely due to her kit as she was the only support hero who did not have any healing incorporated in her skill set. However, you won't be seeing her change at the beginning of the "Overwatch" Competitive Play season 3.

Like the previous season, you'll have to start out with 10 placement matches in the "Overwatch" Competitive Play season 3. These matches seed you to the right bracket where you fight your way to the top. Some of the rumored rewards are a spray and various visual items for those who participate. For the top 500 players in a particular server, you'll be granted with a specialized icon that you can boast on your career profile.

Now it's a good time to try your hand out on the "Overwatch" Competitive Play season 3. With so many changes to game, the odds might be in your favor.
