'Shenmue 3' Release Date, News & Update: What Is New With The Game's 3rd Installment?

After more than a decade, "Shenmue 3" is set to be released on December 2017. This 3rd installment features new techniques and technology of game develoment to make this more intimidating to the gamers.

"Shenmue 3" is the continuation of the journey of Ryo Hazuki on his quest to find the person who murdered his father. Except for better graphics, new features are also included in the game.

In a report on Polygon, they cited that Yu Suzuki, the publisher of the game, hints four main antagonists in "Shenmue 3." No details released regarding the two new bosses but the other two are Lan Di, the boss since the first "Shenmue," and Niao Sun, the deadly siren of the Chi You Men.

Yu Suzuki launched a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund the "Shenmue 3" game. Crowdfunding ended in July of 2015, reaching over $6M fund raised. More budget, more feature will make to include in the game. The funding system was resumed via online payment, PayPal and Alipay.

The AI battling system will be featured to "Shenmue 3" when the crowdfunding reached to $7M. A video released where Suzuki demonstrates of how the system will work in the game. Whether or not the new AI battling system is included, the fighting system is still more cinematic than the game's previous versions.

No further date was scheduled for launching the "Shenmue 3" beyond the December 2017 schedule."Shenmue 3" was first announced at E3 2015 as part of Sony's press conference, andsince then, the Windows PCand PlayStation 4 have become the most-funded Kickstarter video game project ever in history.

A report stated that the differences between how men and women think will be a focus of the game's storyline, with Suzuki teasing a romantic subplot. Also, a video was released showing hut in Bailu Village. In this place the previous game ends the journey and were also the "Shenmue 3" will start.
