Of course, it will never be completed without the pretty boy look of Jace Wayland (Dom Sherwood) and Clary Fray's (Katherine McNamara) bolder, fiercer and stronger personality in "Shadowhunters" Season 2. Simon Lewis (Alberto Rosende) shows his irresistible fangs while Magnus Bane (Harry Shum Jr) reveals his cat eyes that justify his being a high-breed Warlock. For the finale, a complete cast promo shot is also revealed.
Meanwhile, in spite of its darker look, MTV reported that "The Mortal Instruments" author, Cassandra Clare, cleared that "Shadowhunters" Season 2 won't be dark and gritty. In fact, it will stay to its supernatural drama roots that feature warlocks, vampires, half-angel and half-human demon hunters.
"One of the things Todd and Darren realized is what's edgy is characters making really difficult, moral choices. We're going to see these characters make those choices in Season 2," Clare told the publication. Aside from putting the show's attention to the main characters, "Shadowhunters" Season 2 will definitely back to its main source, "The Mortal Instruments" novel series.
"Shadowhunters" Season 2 will return on Freeform on Jan. 2. Stay tuned for more updates!
