‘Reign’ Season 4 News and Updates: What Is The Show’s Future; Mary's Legacy Is Fading?

“Reign” had a pretty disappointing end to its third season and fans expect that the new season will manage to set things straight where writers let themselves go. Will they manage to?

Siver Times shares a lot of the problems which have plagued the series over the years. First among them is the fact that ratings have been constantly dropping. First season attracted 1.5 million viewers, second got up to 1 million and ever since the show has struggled to reach these ratings to no avail. Problem is that a lot of the audience’s favorite characters have gone out of the series in one way or another, leaving viewers with unfamiliar faces for which they have little care. Mary (Adelaide Kane) is still part of the series, but it is unknown for how long or even what development will her character undertake.

Ecumenical News unveils some of the events of Mary’s future. It is known from history, that everyone’s favorite queen of scots will perish under the hand of Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten). This means that the last relatable character will leave the series, which means that there will not be much left for the show to go on to and it will eventually be cancelled after the end of the fourth season.

News Every Day recently reported that the character will not go down as easily as her enemies expect her to. She will first return to Scotland, where she will solidify her position and gain even more power over her people. Then a new husband will be introduced to her, which will help her not only gain more stability with the crown, but also expand her influence throughout England. So, even though she is going away soon, she still has a lot of life and fight in her and it will be put to the limit with the release of the fourth season of “Reign”.

"Reign" season 4 returns to its on CW in February 10, 2017.
