'The Batman' Release Date, Spoilers, News & Updates: Will Smith Joins Ben Affleck? 3 Reasons Why Deadshot Will Be Part Of Movie

Now that Warner Bros. announced its hefty slate of DC superhero movies, it is believed that a lot of rather epic movies await fans. Avid followers are left wondering who among the DC heroes would join "The Batman," Ben Affleck's second DC Extended Universe appearance following "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

"The Batman" may not be Ben Affleck's solo movie after all. Based on a new rumor buzzing around, Will Smith's Deadshot is going to join him. Deadshot is traditionally a member of Batman's rogue gallery of villains. The character appeared in "Suicide Squad," a movie following an honorable bounty hunter, a cold-blooded killer and a foolish oaf teaming up to find some buried treasure.

Given the characters' shared history with the Gotham underworld, it would be fitting that they join forces. Here some of the reasons why Deadshot (Will Smith) could collaborate with the Batman (Ben Affleck) in "The Batman."

Contract

Batman himself may hire Deadshot for a contract in "The Batman." The contract would be to only contain and not to kill.

Multiple Villians

Rumors are rife that there could be multiple villains in "The Batman." In a city like Gotham, Batman might need some sort of back-up and Deadshot could be one of them.

Joker

Deadshot is not really fond of the character because Joker has no sense of morality. So if Deadshot were to get an aim on the maniac in "The Batman," he would certainly not miss it. Besides, if Batman's arch nemesis is a part of the movie then fans can expect Deadshot too.

Meanwhile, "The Batman" is also believed to give enthusiasts a deeper look at the older Batman and his current life. When it comes to the Bat-verse, there are many characters that hold significance and some of them also happen to be on the villain side.

As of this writing, there aren't any official statements yet about the movie "The Batman." Until then, stay tuned for more updates.
