Burial at Sea DLC Gameplay Footage Pops Up [VIDEO]

The First 5 Minutes of BioShock Infinite's Latest DLC Rises from the Waters of the Internet like a Drowned Phoenix

The first few minutes of BioShock Infinite's latest DLC, Burial at Sea, has been released by Irrational, suggesting that while the DLC is yet to receive a release date, it may not be that far off before gamers can get their mitts on. Obviously, there's a bit of a spoiler-y nature about the whole thing, so it's up to you to watch it or not.

The major spoiler occurs around the time Booker and Elizabeth enter the elevator. We'll theorize a bit about some of the more interesting possibilities after the video...

A return to Rapture means seeing familiar sights and landmarks, which you'll notice in spades in the trailer: Sander Cohen posters, Gatherer's Garden vending machines, references to locations like Apollo's Square, and more. At the 1:15 mark, you'll hear Booker mention Sally and "dozens of her type," an obvious reference to the ADAM sucking Little Sisters. With plasmids showing up in the first few seconds of this video, not to mention their notoriety, it'd be hard to set a game in Rapture and not have them involved. The fact that Booker has the head of the girl's doll means that he has some personal knowledge or experience with her. Original BioShock baddie Frank Fontaine is also mentioned. Given his involvement with the Little Sisters, maybe "Atlas" will figure in somehow.

A Big Daddy doing some repairs with its trademark drill is hard to miss at 3:12. Could be some foreshadowing for the fights to come. But what's really intriguing is that the drill can now work as a grappling hook. Looking back, it does make sense for how these behemoths would get around some of Rapture's more difficult to reach spots. This must also be how the skyhook mechanic will come into play.

I won't get into the major spoiler that Elizabeth reveals in the elevator, but chances are good that you might've figured that out. Anywho, you can see the whole thing reeks of film-noire, and that's a good thing.

We'll keep you posted on the DLC as more information "surfaces." In the mean time, you can check out the game's various trophies / achievements here.
