"Deadpool 2" is set to hit the cinemas sometime in 2018, but there have been changes made to the film. A new director is on board to direct the sequel to the 2016 Marvel movie.
After a disagreement ensued between actor-producer Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller, the two finally decided to part ways. Reynolds wants to continue "Deadpool 2" as being a "raunchy comedy," while Miller, on the other hand wants to have a "stylized" version of the movie. Reynolds argues that changing the style of the movie in "Deadpool 2" would cause an increase of the cost three times than the original investment of $58 million.
Because of the creative differences between Reynolds and Miller, the directorship was soon passed to David Leitch. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who also wrote the original film, will also be writing the sequel. No specifics have been released yet about when the premiere date of the "Deadpool 2" is but speculation is rife that it should be in 2018. According to NME, the sequel is due to start shooting in early 2017.
Meanwhile, "Deadpool" producers and screenwriters, Reese and Wernick confirmed that "Deadpool 2" will feature two Superhero figures, Cable from X-Men and his lover and confidante Domino. Cable, a.k.a. Nathan Summers, was introduced in the Marvel comic series in 1986 as a non-mutant, but he has mutant parents - Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor. According to Movie Pilot's report, "Cable's" inclusion in the sequel creates the link between "Deadpool" and the "X-Men" franchise.
Having Cable in the "Deadpool 2" could also mean including his love interest "Domino" in the comic book series. "Domino" was portrayed by Keira Knightly in the movie on 2005. As of now, producers and filmmaker have not yet mentioned who will take the role of "Domino" in the movie.
Though, no plot details of "Deadpool 2" have been revealed yet, the producers said that updates will soon be released when everything becomes final. Stay tuned to Gamenguide for more updates on the movie.
