'Rocket League' Release Date, News & Update: 'Starbase ARC' Free Update Now Available, Features Custom Training, New Arena & Holiday Items
Fans of the Psyonix vehicular soccer video game "Rocket League" would be glad to know that new content has arrived just in time for the holidays. The "Starbase ARC" free update is now available and features custom training, new arena, and holiday items. Check out the details below.
The news comes via PlayStation Lifestyle, which reports that the "Starbase ARC" free update arrived at 2 p.m. on December 7. The update is for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC gamers of "Rocket League," and features custom training, new arena, and holiday items. The new arena is called "Starbase ARC," and contains "starship battles, floating planetoids, and interstellar laser shows," all in an octagonalk space station.
What's even more exciting is that the "Starbase ARC" free update for "Rocket League" also features Steam Workshop Support, Arena Preference Selector. and "Champion Series IV" Crate. It also includes Redesigned SARPBC Vehicles and a new Colorblind Mode that adds awesome high-contrast orange and blue shades with the high contrast nameplates, as per Gamespot. There's also the two new variant arenas called "Wasteland (Night)" and "Utopia Coliseum (Snowy)."
According to VG24/7, there's several new DLC Battle-cars in the "Starbase ARC" free update for "Rocket League." Psyonix has added a Vulcan DLC Battle-car, with six new decals (Comnbat, Cryo Flames, Medic, Space Work, ARC, and Armada). There are also new decals in the form of Flower Power (Merc), as well as new visual upgrades for skins when used on the upgraded Gizmo and X-Devil.
As for the holiday items, "Rocket League" fans can look forward to the following in the "Starbase ARC" free update. There's the New Year’s 2017 Glasses Topper, Elf Hat Topper, and Nutcracker Antenna, among other holiday-themed items for the game.
