Lexus IS Latest News & Update: Japanese Car Maker Unveils LED-Covered LIT IS Sedan; Yes, It Can Dance!

The Japanese car maker has unveiled recently its latest 2017 Lexus IS covered with 41,999 programmable LED lights that change color along with the music. But, it won't be allowed on the streets as it can cause accidents.

Lexus, the luxury division of Toyota, has introduced its 2017 Lexus IS dubbed as LIT IS for its programmable 41,999 LED lights covered on a sedan. The vehicle appeared in the new music video for Dua Lipa's "Be the One."

According to Lexus News Room, 2017 Lexus IS with 41,999 LED lights is a unique collaboration between Lexus and Vevo. The LIT IS is said to be a work of art, which features design and technology showcased in a music video. The collaboration between Lexus and Vevo is believed to be the first-of-its-kind featuring both Dua Lipa and the Lexus IS with a combined character.

Lexus general manager of product and consumer marketing Brian Bolain said, "A car as visually striking as the LIT IS required an equally dramatic debut." Bolain pertains to the music video with Dua Lipa, which "allowed the concept to come to life, putting a spotlight on the Lexus IS in an entirely new way."

The 2017 Lexus IS was designed using a hand-applied LEDs that wrapped the sedan and makes it an eye-catching screen. The 41,999 LED lights turned to a screen can broadcast graphics and colorful animations that respond to gestures and music. The LIT IS LEDs can sync to any music being played on the car's stereo making it a huge visualizer attached to a sedan, The Verge reported.

In addition, Lexus IS has three different features. The LIT IS Attract mode can loop colorful graphics which highlights the strong lines of the 41,999 LED lights and plays with bold style. It also has Music Viz mode which syncs to any music played and responds with custom lights flash by LEDs. Lastly, it has Gesture mode, which the control of the LED lights will be from the user's hand with the use of a game console.

Meanwhile, the Lexus IS with 41,999 LED lights may not be allowed on the streets as the government believes that it can cause accidents. Imagine a random piece of rock that will hit the LEDs while on the road flashing the sedan, it would be a pain in your pocket.
