'Game of Thrones' Season 7, Conor McGregor Latest, News & Update: UFC Lightweight Champion Confirmed To Appear In The Hit HBO Fantasy Series

Exciting news for MMA and "Game of Thrones" fans! UFC lLightweight Champion and MMA fighter, Conor McGregor will finally come to the world of the Westeros in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7. The Irish mixed martial arts fighter, McGregor is confirmed to make an appearance in the latest season of the HBO hit series.

"I knew a few months ago that they were interested in putting him in the show. I'm glad he did it. It will be great. The show is huge. It's awesome, and I'm excited for him," the UFC President, Dana White confirmed in an interview with Fox Sports Live. White also explained that the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 executives were interested in giving Conor McGregor a role on the series and recently but he had no idea that McGregor accepted the offer.

However, White did not disclose on what Conor McGregor's specific role in the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 but Watchers on the Wall reported some hints on what McGregor will play. McGregor might be part of the "pirate belonging" in Euro Greyjoy's crew for his ship named Silence which is actually a very small role.

Despite fans questioning Conor McGregor's acting skills in Game of Thrones Season 7 there might not be any lines for the MMA fighter in his role and it might also just be a sideline gig for him. According to Polygon, McGregor has already done some acting gigs before especially lending his voice for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" and also for "EA Sports UFC 2".

Conor McGregor has faced Game of Thrones' The Mountain, Hafþór Júlíus "Thor" Björnsson in a sparring session uploaded on his Instagram account, thenotoriosMMA. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will return with seven episodes in this June 2017 on HBO.
