Since it has been more than a year since the premiere of the Netflix original series "Sense8," there is a lot of excitement for the show's return. Fortunately, fans will receive a treat this holiday season as a Christmas special will be released, teasing viewers for "Sense8" season 2.
It was revealed that there will be a two-hour Christmas special for "Sense8" releasing later this month. With that, fans will see their favorite cluster once again. It was teased that the Christmas special will see the characters getting to know each other in a deeper level. In addition, the episode could present a darker theme, compared to the first season of the series. It is expected to set up the storyline for "Sense8" season 2.
More challenges will be presented to the characters of the series, as they struggle to stay alive. However, fans speculate that the special will still feature some of the characters' festivities for the holiday season. Because of this, Reddit users explained that want to see a more emotional storyline that will bond the individuals deeper, preparing them for the obstacles of "Sense8" season 2. "The journey continues as these eight singular hearts and minds weave in and out of each other's lives finding deeper connections, learning darker, more desperate secrets about one another and struggling to identify with more than just oneself," read the description reported by Variety.
With that, there could be some drama in store as well as the characters go through different trials. Fans can look forward to a happy holiday season as they will get to see the diverse group of characters back in the small screens. The "Sense8" Christmas special is expected to begin streaming on Netflix by Dec. 23. "Sense8" season 2" will return to the online streaming channel May 5, 2017.
