The happy ever after of Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice King) future went up in smoke on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 after Stefan offered himself to Cade (Wolé Parks) in exchange for the twins. Now that their June wedding has been effectively postponed, thanks to Stefan's deal with the literal devil, Stefan and Caroline's future is bleak right now.
In his bargain with Cade, Stefan was able to negotiate to have 24 hours with Caroline before his new job begins as Cade's eternal lackey. Fans of the supernatural drama series are now speculating how Stefan is going to make their last day together,a memorable one in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 7.
In this week's "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 midseason finale, in order to make the most of their last day together, Stefan organizes a cozy Christmas dinner. It is supposedly an intimate Christmas dinner with invited guests Alaric (Matt Davis), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Matt's dad (Joel Gretsch). The vibe was totally killed when gatecrashers Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) arrived.
Fans are starting to speculate what Caroline's state of mind this week in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 7 is like after having learned that she is going to lose her loved ones, her fiancé and her children on the same day. "She's definitely not walking on sunshine and singing 'Jingle Bells.' She's pretty upset and kind of in denial, and just realizing that she's lost everything she loves. Luckily, she still does have 24 hours left with Stefan and so he has some special ideas up his sleeve." Candice King told TV Guide.
The impending presence of Cade in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 not only overturned Steroline's June wedding but also has everyone else on edge. But knowing Caroline, she is definitely not giving up on Stefan by letting him serve Cade for all eternity. But the question is -- how is she going to stop Cane?
