‘Super Mario Run’ Release Date, Latest News & Update: Demo Now Out, Multiplayer Online Mode Teased

There is great anticipation for “Super Mario Run” - that surprise mobile game which was announced back in September by Apple though an Android version is also set to be released. A demo version of the game has been made available at the Apple App Store before the full release set for Dec. 15.

The demo version of “Super Mario Run” expectedly comes with limitations. Only the World Tour mode is available from the three modes that the game is expected to offer. There are three difficulty levels to choose from which seems more like a traditional Mario game rather than seeing the plumber go on endless runs, Forbes reported.

The demo version of “Super Mario Run” has been limited to iOS with no word when Android users can get to enjoy the new mobile game. Though it may take some time to see this version, one reason that is reasoned by Shigeru Miyamoto has to do with the game not having an offline mode.

Though the reasoning may be a bit sketchy, this is reportedly a ploy to fend of piracy, Mashable reported. As far as the iOS version is concerned, “Super Mario Run” is priced at $9.99 to play. These days, anyone can easily get a pirated version with Miyamoto emphasizing on security as a concern.

The “Super Mario Run” demo is thus something that could probably ramp up the hype and entice folks to see if it is worth paying $9.99. Filled with various game modes and possible online player game play, most will likely wait and see if it is worth paying to play.

All that should be known next week once the full version of “Super Mario Run” goes live. This is Nintendo’s first attempt to offer a game for small screen devices and so far the response has been pretty impressive.
