"Sleepy Hollow" season 4 is about to air in a few months time and it's already hyping up fans' anticipation. A recent teaser revealed a headless Ichabod Crane, cracking the heads of many fans for its possible meaning.
Headless Ichabod Crane
A headless Ichabod (Tom Mison) was seen in the latest promo art of "Sleepy Hollow" season 4. Fox shared the new promo art on its official Facebook page. The promo art was first shared to TV Insider but it was soon uploaded to its Facebook page.
Notably, this comes after Abbie Mills' (Nicole Beharie) unexpected death last season. Now, fans trying to find a link between the headless Ichabod and Abbie's death in "Sleepy Hollow" season 4.
The promo art shows a headless Ichabod carrying his own head in one arm. Then the words "Carry On" can be read on the poster. It seems to be a subtle message to many fans, who are still mourning the death of Abbie. "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 will see a new character in the person of Agent Diana (Janina Gavankar) in replacement of Abbie.

To recall, Crane struggled with the unexpected death of his partner. With Abbie's death, Ichabod was led into a mysterious organization bent to fight off the evil. The proponent of the said organization was none other than George Washington.
Returning & New Cast Members
Now, fans will see Ichabod direct his grief into finding out more about the mysterious organization. More so, "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 will also see Ichabod looking for his fellow witness.
This mission landed him in Washington with a new team. This is where Agent Diana comes in; she'll be the new partner of Ichabod. Aside from Diana, he'll be working alongside Jake (Jerry MacKinnon) and Alex (Rachel Melvin).
Meanwhile, "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 will still see Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood), Abbie's sister. According to spoilers, she'll be helping Ichabod look for the other witness. The Headless Horseman and Henry Parrish (John Noble) will also be returning next season.
