According to Kotaku, Twitch, the world's leading social video platform and community for gamers, is bringing gaming on The White House together with Corillian, a creative strategy firm at the nexus of entertainment and policy. It will stream the first White House Competitive Gaming Event for four hours from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 12, 2016.

The upcoming White House Competitive Gaming Event will be hosted by Anna Prosser Robinson, Twitch programming manager and streamer. The gaming event will feature esports and gaming competitions with professional and popular gamers. It includes "Rocket League Pro-Am" match that will feature Fireburner, jacobRL and sad_junior of NRG esports. It will also show a "Street Fighter V" match between Justin Wong and Mike Ross. Goldenboy will play as the commentator of the "Rocket League Pro-Am" while Gootecks will be the commentator of "Street Fighter V" match.

There will be numerous gaming celebrities that will take part in the White House Gaming Event. This includes ActaBunniFooFoo, Annemunition, bijoudemi, darkness_429, Elspeth, imcoty, LifeWithLaughs, Okaydrian, and thatchickparker.
Esports Inquirer reports that Twitch is raising health insurance awareness and health coverage options by hosting the White House Competitive Gaming Event. This will be done ahead of the December 15 deadline for the January 1 health coverage on the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Brian Petrocelli, Twitch's Product Marketing Manager, has said that they appreciate how the White House has recognized the power and passion of the gaming community in raising health awareness.
