According to NY Daily News, Gigi Hadid has diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease two years ago. The 21-year-old model is having trouble keeping her weight on because of the disease, she is struggling to keep the muscles in the right place. It is hard to stay in a good shape when she is constantly losing weight like crazy. Gigi walked Victoria’s Secret fashion show in Paris with her sister Bella Hadid who suffers from Lyme Disease which is an infectious disease caused by bacteria Borrelia type. Gigi’s fans noticed her weight loss and pointed that she looks thinner than ever. Gigi started boxing to stay in shape, she found a coach who didn’t care who she was or how she looks like.

According to People, Gigi Hadid’s metabolism changed this year, and as a result, she lost so much weight because of the Hashimoto’s disease. Even though she tried everything to look perfect on Victoria’s Secret fashion show, she looked thinner than ever. Both Gigi and Bella Hadid were nominated for Model of the Year Award, but the older sister, Gigi won. Gigi has a sticky note in her kitchen which says “squat” so whenever she passes the sticky note she has to do 15 squats. It is a good trick because no one is watching her and she is doing it for herself. Last year, Yolanda Hadid revealed that Bella and Anwar are also struggling with Lyme Disease like her.

According to Mayo Clinic, Hashimoto’s disease is when the immune system attacks the thyroid below Adam’s apple. It is a part of the endocrine system which produces hormones that coordinate the body. Hashimoto’s disease is very common in the United States, it affects mostly middle-aged women but can also occur in men and woman of any age.
