Gamers and fans alike should extend their long wait for the first-person shooter "Space Hulk: Deathwing" for a few more days. Two days prior to the game's launch, publisher Focus Home Interactive and game developer Streum On Studio announced it will be delayed for a few days.
The first-person shooter based on the Warhammer 40,000 Universe, "Space Hulk: Deathwing" is now slated to launch on Dec. 14. The delay was made after it was discovered in the beta test that there are various issues in the game.
According to the game developer of "Space Hulk: Deathwing," for them to be able to give out a paramount gaming experience, they had to postpone the original launch date to work on the final optimization and fine tuning. Streum On Studio is putting extra work in improving the "Space Hulk: Deathwing" and putting to bed some identified issues.
So far, the game studio had bugs fixed, improved loading times, improved general performance and applied some interface and overall optimization. Despite the negative effect of the delay, it is good that Streum On Studio grabbed this opportunity to work out and resolve all the issues of the game. This being done, Streum On Studio is confident that gamers will experience gaming to a whole new level when "Space Hulk: Deathwing" launches in a few days.
On a separate note, the gaming community has taken the delayed launch of "Space Hulk: Deathwing" differently, according to GameSpot. Some were very disappointed with the delay and some expressed their support for the developer's decision to ask ample time to fix all the bugs.
Other things to expect from "Space Hulk: Deathwing" include having players take on the role of a Space Marine Terminator, plummet down the terrible tunnels of a Space Hulk and battle the Genestealers, use havoc-wrecking weapons and customizable armor and the co-op mode where you can play as a Terminator squadron.
