Ultra Street Fighter 4 News: Capcom Shows Off Super and Ultra Combos for Elena [VIDEO]

Long Legged Elena Shows What She's Bringing to Ultra Street Fighter IV

Capcom has released some videos showing the newcomers' combos that will be hitting when Ultra Street Fighter 4 arrives next year, and Capcom Unity has posted them on YouTube so everyone can have a look.

The videos show just how hard the returning Street Fighers; Elena, Rolento, Poison, and Hugo (he'll always be Andore to me), can hit.

In this article, we'll be looking at the long legged Elena, who made her debut in Street Fighter III: New Generation. We got a brief sneak peek at her and the other "new" comers this past summer, but now we have a closer look. As you might expect, she retains the majority of her attacks and super combos she first appeared with, and the same goes for some of her baser moves and combos. Elena still looks like she's all about kicks n' tricks, using the dance martial art Capoeira to keep opponents on their toes.

Just like she had her Brave Dance combo in Street Fighter X Tekken, the Super Art returns as one of Elena's Ultra Combos this time around, alongside her remaining Street Fighter III Super Arts, Spinning Beat and Healing. This will make it easy for SFIII familiars to pick up Elena with relative ease, and her Healing could really help set her apart, as she'll be the only character in the game with the ability to regenerate her health.

While these videos are great, there's still no word on the identity of that brand new fighter. All we have to go on is what Capcom Senior Product manager Matt Dahlgren told the Jace Hall Show: "This character [has] never been featured in a Street Fighter game up until now." Ultra Street Fighter 4 "will be the first time he (or she) makes their fighting game debut." That would rule out a great number of Capcom's other characters who've appeared in countless cross over games, like X-Men Vs Capcom, Marvel Vs Capcom, etc.

So while it's entirely possible that it's a brand new character, the chances are also good the character could be a familiar face (fingers crossed for someone from the beat 'em ups Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, or Alien vs. Predator, if only for the chance it could mean a possible port for either game on PSN or Xbox Live). We'll just have to wait and see.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 will release in two forms, with the player picking whichever they like:

1. As a $15 DLC upgrade - choose this route if you already have a copy of Street Fighter 4. With the price breakdown, it means you get each new character at $3 each.
2. As an all-new physical release, on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Besides the new characters, players will also get six new stages, all of which featured in Street Fighter X Tekken: Cosmic Elevator, Mad Gear Hideout, Jurassic Era Research Facility, Blast Furnace, and Pitstop 109.

Capcom recently announced that players could expect the game in Spring of next year.

If you wanna take a look at the other fighters, you'll spy the articles with the videos back at the main page.
