After decades, the top-selling toy "Barbie" will finally be adapted into a live action movie. The lead role in Sony Pictures Entertainment's "Barbie" is said to be portrayed by American comedienne and actress Amy Schumer. This film is set to be a contemporary mix of feminism, comedic-fantasy and beauty.

Initial reactions of fans of the 57-year old toy "Barbie," would be perplexed why the not-so-Barbie figured Amy Schumer was cast to take the lead role in the upcoming film. The actress comedienne's voluptuous physique and her gutsy personality made it perfect to showcase the modern day "Barbie."

"Barbie" live action movie is set in Barbieland. Amy Schumer's Barbie is a bit eccentric, is not perfect enough and does not fit in while living with other Barbies. Being an outcast, her Barbie is kicked out and set to embark on an adventure in the real world. After her journey in the real world, she then realizes that true beauty comes from the inside and not from the outside. And the key to real happiness is to believe in oneself and to let go of the unattainable standard of perfection.

On a separate note, the "Barbie" toy creator, Mattel, has garnered countless criticisms for more than half a century from female organizations and activist for setting an impractical high standard among little girls and young women.

There is a study in the treatment site Rehabs.com that no human being could have the body measurement of "Barbie." If a person indeed possesses the unrealistic perfect body statistics of "Barbie," that person would have to walk on all for limbs, cannot hold her head up and would only have a fraction of normal sized intestines and liver.

After all the toy company Mattel has garnered, nowadays, they are manufacturing the "Barbie" toy in different body structures, hair, eye, and skin color. The live action film "Barbie" is slated to hit the big screens on June 29, 2018.
