"Vikings" Season 5 from creator Michael Hirst will continue the journey with Ragnar Lothbrok as Travis Fimmel confirmed. However, with "Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 still unfolding, Gustaf Skarsgard (Floki) warns that major events that will bleed on to Season 5 and shocking multiple deaths are coming.
In a conversation with IGN, Travis Fimmel and Gustaf Skarsgard revealed that "Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 will be shocking. Particularly, "Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 will have big events coming.

Among these major events will be multiple deaths of key characters in "Vikings" Season 4. The good news is that Ragnar Lothbrok will not be among the major characters dying. Fans of the History series worried that Ragnar Lothbrok will meet his end in "Vikings" Season 4 Part 2. The Boneless and Bjorn fuelled fears that Ragnar Lothbrok is on his way out and won't live until "Vikings" Season 5.
In the same conversation with IGN Travis Fimmel revealed that Ragnar Lothbrok is well and truly involved in "Vikings" Season 5 after his rumored death, as reported by GameNGuide. Travis Fimmel had been filming Ragnar Lothbrok scenes for "Vikings" Season 5 around the time of the 2016 San Diego Comic Con.
Certainly "Vikings" Season 5 will bring in a band of new characters. Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha) revealed that "Vikings" Season 5 will not only have new characters but will also take the History series into new locations.
Long before "Vikings" Season 5 rolls in, however, "Vikings Season 4" Part 2 will focus on the grown sons of Ragnar Lothbrok - Ivar The Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen), Sigurd (David Lindström), Hvitserk (Marco Islo) and Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith). Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn Ironside) revealed that jealousy and competition will erupt among the brothers in "Vikings" Season 4 Part 2.
"Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 premiered on Nov 30 on History. The firm "Viking" Season 5 air date in 2017 is yet to be announced by History.
