Cartoon Network has canceled a good number of top-performing shows in the past. Rumor has it that "Steven Universe" season 4 may have been added to the roster. The network has not offered up any bits of news ever since the last episode was aired December 1.
For the past couple of weeks, fans have been asking when the next episode of "Steven Universe" season 4 will arrive. Cartoon Network has remained mum and appears to retain silence for the time being. This has led some fans to speculate that "Steven Universe" will no longer return to the network.
According to the reports, Cartoon Network may have opted to cancel the remaining episodes of "Steven Universe" season 4 due to issues behind the scenes. There have been earlier reports suggesting that the network is having some scheduling problems in particular.
"Steven Universe" has also been criticized for having trouble with the way it depicts race. Other critics have pointed out that the series has to fix some censoring problems for it to become even more popular. The said issues are rumored to have caused Cartoon Network to slash "Steven Universe" season 4 from its mainstream shows.
Creator Rebecca Sugar said earlier this year that the development team is focused on providing plots that will engage children most. However, it appears that some conservatives aren't very happy with the way "Steven Universe" is being depicted.
