‘The Flash' Season 3 Spoilers: Barry Allen Likely Gets New Speedster Suit

Viewers might see Barry Allen wear a new costume going into the midseason episodes of "The Flash" Season 3. Grant Gustin recently teased that the speedster might get an updated suit.

Grant Gustin took to social media to talk about Barry Allen's speedster suit. He shared a simple tweet that raised fans' expectation to see The Flash in an updated costume in "The Flash" Season 3.

Gustin, who plays the titular character, replied to a fan' comment about the suit. The fan asked if his costume smells that bad already, to which the actor said yes. Perhaps Gustin was merely talking about getting another suit of the same kind.

However, his tweet also raised speculations that Barry might have another version of the suit going into the midseason episodes of "The Flash" Season 3. According to LRM Online, perhaps the second half of the season will show Barry Allen whip up the suit from his ring.

In the DC comic book lore, Barry Allen wears a ring that stores his speedster suit. Each time he needs to wear his costume, he flashes it out from his ring. So far, The CW show only adapted this ring idea on Eobard Thawne or the Reverse-Flash. Viewers have yet to see Barry wear the ring himself.

Likewise, so far in the series, Barry Allen has only worn two suits. The first Cisco created to help Barry live up to his speedster persona. The second suit, which Barry wears now, is the updated one. Harrison Wells (the evil Dr. Wells) created the suit in Season 2. He updated it with sensors on the chest, to monitor Barry's speed and health.

Regardless, it remains unclear if Grant Gustin's tweet is any indication that Barry Allen will have a new suit in "The Flash" Season 3. Fans will eventually find out when the show returns to The CW on Jan. 24.
