After three seasons of the highly acclaimed Netflix series "Black Mirror," fans only have high expectations for "Black Mirror" season 4. Though the return of the series is still months away, many are curious as to what kind of storylines will be tackled in the upcoming season of the series.

Even though there has yet to be any news confirming any plotlines for "Black Mirror" season 4, the director of previous episodes from season 3, Owen Harris, shared some insights about what "Black Mirror" season 4 will be about. Harris directed the past episodes "San Junipero" and "Nosedive," which won the hearts of many fans.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Harris entertained questions regarding a possible sequel for "San Junipero" that could be presented in "Black Mirror" season 4. "San Junipero" was an interesting addition to the previous season as it showed a rare happy ending to the series. Because of that, many are curious as to how the story could continue.

While Harris did not confirm anything about the series, he explained that he, too, would be interested in expanding the story of "San Junipero" for "Black Mirror" season 4. However, he explained to fans that since Charlie Brooker will be writing the stories for "Black Mirror" season 4, it is likely that the possible sequel would not have another happen ending.

In addition, some viewers are hoping to see the series return to a darker theme, which was presented in the first two seasons of "Black Mirror." Reddit users recently expressed how they wanted the "Black Mirror" Season 4's story to have a more raw storyline, since the most recent episode seemed to steer away from the darker themes.

Nevertheless, there is still a lot of excitement for "Black Mirror" season 4, since the show is known for producing thought-provoking content. However, an official release date for the follow-up season has yet to be confirmed.
