Get Even from The Farm 51 revealed: Find out what's it all about

Get Even is upcoming next-gen shooter from Polish developers The Farm 51, noted for developing Painkiller: Hell & Damnation. The new game, revealed first at the Game Connection event in Paris, intends to combine both its multiplayer and single-player aspects by offering real-life players to take on the role of real enemies in the game.

While not much is known about the in-game story, The Farm 51 states that the player will come across a big surprise when he first starts playing the game. And also that “Where Industry giants propose fireworks graphics, The Farm 51 puts on a true photorealism.”

It adds that the in-game graphics is based on 3D scans of real locations and characters. “Innovative technology is being developed in our studio in extensive cooperation with research institutions and external specialists.”

"We do not seek direct confrontation with the giants of the FPS market. Even if we had the opportunity to take the glove in the battle for the marketing and production scale, does not interest us," said the head of the studio The Farm 51, Wojtek Pazdur.

"This genre can still offer something fresh, and now the market has opened up for unusual solutions. players become hungry for new experiences that are not based on the Hollywood model of narrative and game design story and lapping challenges in two separate domains.” And that’s the reason why Get Even has been developed.

Apparently, the game’s story will focus on in-game heroes and players will be able to change and manipulate those characters via the way they play out the game.

“GET EVEN is also a fresh approach to the gameplay mechanics. Game developers are planning to remove the artificial boundary between modes of single and multiplayer, offering their unique combination,” the official detail for the game adds.

While playing the single player campaign of the game, online opponents may join the game anytime they want, and play the role of a certain AI who was targeted earlier.

The player, in a campaign storyline, will face challenges from the most challenging opponent – who is the second man in the game and has his own reasons and tools to create obstacles for the player from reaching the target.

As of now, Get Even is scheduled for a 2015 release for next-gen platforms and PC. Check out the trailer below.
