Minutes after its debut, Nintendo shares soar by 18 percent, signaling that investors are putting their bet on the success of Super Mario Run with experts saying that the game could easily reach 1 billion downloads.

GameSpot quoted a report from research firm SuperData that with the current rate of download that Super Mario Run gets from Apple Store, it can possibly reach around 30 million downloads and rake around $60 million on its first month. Although this is below Pokemon Go, developer expected for Super Mario Run to catch up when it will be released on Android platform later.
