Whatever is happening to the battery of MacBook Pro, Apple must come to the open rather ditching away the "time remaining" feature in the newest MacOS Sierra (10.12.2). This after complaints mount against the highly hyped Apple device that can hardly reach the full 10-hour battery life that it vowed to deliver.

Behind all this mess is a lurking Surface Pro 5 of Microsoft. Set to hit the tech market in 2017, the Redmond tech giant will surely capitalize the battery blunder of MacBook Pro. Initially, Microsoft has reaped the success of its trade-in program targeting Mac user with the launch of its Surface Pro, Surface Book, Surface Studio and Surface Hub in October. Muchmore, Apple's unusual way of "solving" that problem will surely create a negative impact.

Apple is having a terrible week. After a poll conducted by 9to5Mac from the largest group of MacBook Pro users, data revealed that around half of them claimed that the device only runs between four to five hours. The report also disclosed that 25 percent claimed they have around six to seven hours, 15 percent got eight to nine hours, while only 6.7 percent said they have full 10 hours.

The battery problem of MacBook Pro had been a major concern in the tech market as many believed that Apple may be hiding the truth behind the glitch. While it achieved top-grossing sales record when it was released, bad reviews from MacBook Pro owners slowed the market momentum of the flagship device of the Cupertino conglomerate.

But Forbes tech contributor Ewan Spence considered the "time remaining" feature of MacBook Pro as a misstep for Apple when it launched the device. He said, "If Apple had genuine cause for concern why had the feature remained in the major version of the OS, only being removed by a minor update when there is a backlash over battery life?" Watch the preview of MacBook here:
