With the launching of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" just recently, many first-person shooter video game fans are worried that Activision might not be releasing any more DLCs for 2015's "Call of Duty: Black Ops III." However, reports are just in that developer Treyarch confirmed on December 15 that "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" will continue receiving new content in 2017.

According to a report from Activision, "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" was its overall best-selling game in 2015. As of August 2016, it has remained on top of Activision's titles. The latest installment in the franchise, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," has not been doing so well. When compared to the sales of "Call of Duty: Black Ops III," it has been said that sales for the latest installment in the franchise have declined substantially.

In a Facebook livestream, studio head Dan Bunting said the 2015 first-person shooter remains popular, so the developer wants to put out fresh content for fans, so new DLC pack for "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" is coming up. Bunting teased video gamers saying that the game developer is really excited about this game, but he cannot disclose anything specific at the moment yet. He shared that for as long as the fans continue playing the game, they are going to continue to support it in the same way. He added that they can look forward to another healthy and fun year of updates in 2017.

The studio head didn't give out any specifics about the new DLC pack for "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" though. As of the moment, one thing fans are quite sure of is that a new feature called Newton's Cookbook is coming to the game's Zombie mode. Other than that, it seems that video games enthusiasts have to wait until next year to find out. Stay tuned here at Game & Guide for more "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" updates.
