MacBook Air Release Date, News & Update: Phil Schiller’s Comment Sparks Tension; Device Discontinued By Apple

As the new MacBook Pro has just been unveiled Apple loyalists are now wondering if the said company will be able to continue its MacBook Air line. Reports say that it could get a primary makeover on next year's first half.

Speculations have it that this Apple MacBook Air 2017 will be getting a huge update unlike its last model, it will have an optional RAM upgrade. It can be remembered that last April and October, Apple organized an event where fans have gone disappointed for there were no upgrade available.

But if reports are true, Apple MacBook Air will be having a 32GB RAM and a deeper cut-down on its price so people can purchase it. Moreover, if such laptop will get an update, it will be up to Intel Cannonlake processors "to get reach on time as if it doesn't, mass production will get affected," as LatinosHealth further added.

In fact, according to MacRumors, Phil Schiller, Apple Marketing Chief mentioned that they want to enhance their devices' affordability which possibly hints towards a lower price for its products. It further states that Macbook Air will be undergoing a price cut and a RAM max.

But despite this, reports also claim that MacBook Air will be totally killed as it has been replaced by MacBook Pro model. But what really are the differences between these models?

Key Differnces between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro is now featuring two ThunderBolt 3 ports, which then replaced the previously old-school USB ports. It also has been incorporated with an upgraded Skylake processor.

This made such device an improved performance, especially when dealing towards its intensive graphic applications. On the graphic side, it offers a 13.3-inch Retina display, which has been backed up with an Intel Iris 540 Graphics card.

Until then, we do not know yet if a new MacBook Air will be coming next year since Apple has not yet confirmed. But we shall now hold on to these speculations and Phil Schiller's statement that the company will now be more focused on its affordability.
