'Destiny: Rise Of Iron' News & Update: Latest Expansion, New Loot & Bug Fixes!

"Rise of Iron" is the newest expansion to the successful "Destiny" MMO and now, it has got its latest expansion, dedicated to "The Dawning", bringing sparrow racing, new loot and long awaited bug fixes.

Those of you who have been hoping to farm some skeleton keys will get their Christmas wish fulfilled. According to Video Games 24/7, the drop rate on skeleton keys has been increased.  Now, every player who completes a Nightfall will get a skeleton key for sure. Now all that unique loot falling from boss chests will no longer seem as unobtainable as it was before. Finish an event, grab a gun and shoot a few bosses while the easy keys are still available.

I Tech Post reports that together with the update and keys, another great surprise is coming to "Destiny" players. With the coming of "The Dawning", two special quests will become available. Even though considered quite difficult, these quests will bring a much coveted award. Successfully completing the special quests grants you a strong Thunderlord-style machinegun, which will be powerful enough to cut through all lines of enemies, no matter how thnick they are.

If you wondered how long will the event last, Daily Star has the answer for you. "The Dawning" started on 13 December and will carry on into the next year, staying available until 3 January. Those of you who will not be able to enjoy the holiday content should not falter, as sparrow racing will stay available for play even after the event has concluded. Sadly, they will only remain available in private matches, which you can organize with friends through the game's network. Bungie is hosting a big party for the release of "The Dawning" and everyone who is a fan of the game is free to attend.

"Destiny: Rise of Iron" - "The Dawning" Update will remain active until 3 January, 2017.
