‘Resident Evil 7’ Leaked Game Files Suggest Identity Of Final Boss, Return Of Familiar Villain; Reveals Upcoming DLC Packs

Interesting details about the upcoming game "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" were recently released that hinted of a familiar face returning to the horror survival gaming title. Hidden game codes discovered by avid fans teased of an iconic villain's return, as well as four DLCs that may be released for the game.

Avid "Resident Evil" gamers will soon have the chance to explore the eerie and suspenseful new world of the gaming franchise's upcoming installment. Previously released teasers and gameplay snippets have already teased of the game's storyline and the challenges that await players.

However, there are still a lot of mysteries surrounding "Resident Evil 7." Recently, several data miners have posted their discoveries of hidden game files on Reddit and NeoGAF, as cited by Eurogamer, that suggested the return of the game's villain Albert Wesker.

Several game codes that contained the name "Albert" were found in the game's "Beginning Hour" demo. References to Wesker specific items such as character interactions, weapons, battle damage count and more were uncovered.

The game code "LastBossGetAlbert" also teased that the upcoming game's final boss may be Wesker. Players might even receive a special weapon once the said villain is defeated given the game code "HandGun_Albert_Reward."

However, it is still unsure if game developers have indeed added Wesker to "Resident Evil 7." There is a possibility that the "Albert" game codes may pertain to a new character that shares the same first name as Wesker.

Meanwhile, other hidden game files uncovered by data miners included information on four DLC packs. Posted on NeoGAF, as cited by Game Zone, the said DLCs appear to contain mini-games and a survival mode.

The first DLC is a chapter where gamers are tasked to solve riddles and puzzles, while the second DLC hinted of a card game challenge. A survival mode with 10 waves and multiple stages will be included in the third DLC, while the fourth pack is a story chapter with Lucas that may culminate in three potential endings.

At this time, it is unclear if the said leaked game files will make it to the final version of the game. Capcom has yet to comment on the said news.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be released on Jan. 24, 2017 for PS4, PSVR, Xbox One and PC. Watch the game's trailer below:
