‘Resident Evil 7’ Nears 1 Million Players, Banned Footage Vol. 1 DLC Gets A Trailer

“Resident Evil 7” was a success of its own. The third strongest launch in the series’ history and the good reception from both gamer and critics is something that Capcom should be proud with. The shift in the game’s tone and perspective was a gamble, but one, which turned out in their favor. Now the first paid DLC comes to the game and it will offer some additional thrills.

Playstation Lifestyle has announced the release of the first paid DLC to “Resident Evil 7”. If the survival-horror game was your cup of tea, you may consider paying $10 for some additional sugar. The DLC is named “Banned Footage Vol.1” and it brings three big surprises with itself. First is the “Nightmare” mode, this mode will pit Clancy against a constantly spawning horde of monsters against which he will have to fend until the sun has risen above the skies.

This mode will highly rely on crafting, which will be performed with scrap, but be careful as scrap is limited in quantity, but the night Is long. “Bedroom” is the surprise coming to those, who prefer puzzles and mystery to high-packed actions. Players will be locked in a room, which will constantly be visited by Marguerite. If she feels something is aloof, there will be dire consequences. Be fast, be smart and most of all, be careful as you try to find your way out of this room of danger.

Game Rant shares details on the third mode which comes with the “Resident Evil 7: Banned Footage Vol. 1” DLC. It is named “Ethan must die” and is a difficulty setting of hardcore proportions. Once dead, players will have to start all over again. This may sound rather difficult or even impossible, but there will be random drops of items, which will aid the player in his attempt to survive the nightmare. Sadly, this mode is not supported by the PSVR.

Press 2 Join shares information on “Banned Footage Vol. 2”. The second paid DLC to “”Resident Evil 7” will also offer three surprises. First will be a game of life and death, as players bet their life in a game of “21”. The life of the Baker family will be revealed in details in the chapter “Daughters”, which will reveal events taking place prior to the game’s beginning. “Jack’s 55th Birthday” will be a special addition to the game, where players will have to deliver gifts and surprises to Jack, in celebration of this important event. Do not be late, because there will be consequences. “Resident Evil 7” is available for purchase on PC, PS4 and XBOX One.
