The "Final Fantasy 14" developers recently revealed that the upcoming Nintendo Switch console is an interesting system to bring the game to. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether or not "Final Fantasy 14" will indeed be part of the game titles coming to the Switch on March 3. In the meantime, Square Enix confirmed a game boost for the PS4 Pro via a new patch.
Nintendo Switch Version May Be Limited
The "Final Fantasy 14" producer Naoki Yoshida revealed that the team wants to bring the MMORPG to as many systems as possible. Concerning the Nintendo Switch, Yoshida revealed that the team is very interested in discussing a Nintendo Switch port. However, Yoshida noted that they would have to overcome the main limitation of the system. It is said that the "Final Fantasy 14" developers do not just want to create a boxed off version of the game that will not be able to interact with others, Gamespot reported.
In the meantime, Yoshida also confirmed that a new "Final Fantasy XIV" patch was coming for the PS4 Pro version. It has been revealed that the game would make use of the extra horsepower to boost gaming performance on the PS4 Pro. Yoshida noted that instead of using the console's power to adapt to a 4K display, the team opted to use it to boost game performance.
Crimson Clad Samurais Are Coming To "Final Fantasy 14"
Meanwhile, the "Final Fantasy XIV" developers also confirmed that the "Stormblood" expansion would release for PS3. However, PS4 and PC users may get it ahead on June 20. The expansion is slated to add the new Red Mage class to the game along with a residential area, dungeons, raids and new areas to explore.
The "Final Fantasy 14" patch is also expected to reveal the second new character class which is the Samurai, Kotaku reported. The katana-wielding warriors are set to be a damaged-based class that target unloading on enemies on the front lines of fights in favor of the STR gear.
