'Civilization 6': Australia Addition Highlights Settling Coastal Cities; Free Update Includes Modding Tools

"Civilization 6" developers are rolling out a free update to keep gamers busy prior to launching the new civilization in the game. It has been announced that Firaxis would be adding Australia to "Civilization 6" later this year to be led by Former Prime Minister John Curtin. The "Civilization 6" developers are adding support for the Steam Workshop as well as multiplayers.

"Civilization 6" Australia Playstyle Revealed

Firaxis announced that the next civilization in the game would revolve around settling coastal cities. Moreover, "Civilization 6" gamers are slated to gain an early game advantage from its unique unit, the Digger. However, "Civilization 6" gamers may have to wait it out for several more months before Australia will be playable. It is said that the premium DLC pack with the new civilization would launch sometime in Summer 2017 for PC.

Until then, the "Civilization 6" developers are expected to roll out a free update with Steam Workshop integration and modding tools. Furthermore, the update would also include multiplayer teams functionality. In addition, Firaxis is set on introducing several bug fixes and balance changes to "Civilization 6," Geeksnack reported. Moreover, the free update would pack several game tweaks that may affect ice caps and trade routes.

Tinker With In-Game Elements More Easily With Upcoming Free Feature

In other news, the "Civilization 6" official website detailed that the free update would make it easier for players to tinker with in-game elements. "Civilization 6" gamers are set to look for mods more easily post-update and install them quickly. Furthermore, friends would be able to cooperate inside the game while going up against other human players or AI opponents, PC Gamer reported.

The "Civilization 6" developers are yet to reveal the release date for the free update but mentioned that it is coming soon. In the meantime, "Civilization 6" fans may check out a new video released for the game talking about the special features of the upcoming updates.
