In “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands”, players will have to search and unlock a weapon before they can use it in the game, including the AK-47. There are various weapons available in the game hidden in different areas of the map. The only way a player can find it is to search for it on the map or use a guide like this that reveals its exact location.

When to Get the AK-47 in Ghost Recon

Unlike other games, “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands” players can go anywhere on the map whenever they want to according to Gamers Heroes. For that reason, players can get the AK-47 early in the game. The only question is if their weapon is good enough to conquer the area where the gun is located. For the AK-47, players will have to defeat a maximum difficulty level so it will be quite challenging for new players but certainly not impossible.

An alternative option is to wait until the player has a better weapon, particularly snipers before they go to its location. Using a sniper allows the player to eliminate enemies from afar so that gives him a lot of advantage. Being sighted by enemies can be risky because they can face more than one opponent at a time.

Where to Get the AK-47

Once the player is ready to get the AK-47, all they need to do is go to Libertad which is found in the southeastern corner of the map according to Game Skinny. The only way to get there is by helicopter so players should be ready upon landing. As mentioned earlier, the area is rated in maximum difficulty so players ought to be careful. Once enemies are eliminated, claiming the weapon shouldn’t be hard.

AK-47 is one of the impressive weapons in the game so it's not surprising that many players are after it early in the game. However, if it's too difficult to claim it for new players, there are other weapons in the game that they can consider getting to make the quest to get AK-47 easier.
