‘Assassin’s Creed Empire’: Egypt Setting Brings Combat System Overhaul Similar To ‘Witcher 3’; Boats, Horses Included For Navigation

"Assassin's Creed Empire" is reportedly set in Egypt around 305-30 BC. This is based on rumors and leaks that continue to appear online.

"Assassin's Creed" Is A Complete Revamp Of The Series

The "Assassin's Creed Empire" setting is believed to be in Egypt, and that the game will be a complete revamp of the franchise. This means it will bring an overhaul of the combat system, with additional freeform style combat that is the same with that of "The Witcher." Incidentally, "Assassin's Creed Empire" is being developed by the same team that created "Black Flag."

"Assassin's Creed Empire" is also expected to feature the return of boats and horses that will be used for navigation, including some quest interiors onboard. Moreover, the new world is built entirely from scratch along with some minor animation recycling as well as a seamless world. There are also speculations that the game will be three times the size of "Black Flag" and may not have co-op, but would likely feature an eagle companion for the protagonist for combat or scouting, Gamers Greed reported.

"Assassin's Creed Empire" Fans Want Return Of Assassin Tomb Exploration

In "Assassin's Creed Empire" screenshot photo leaked online, wherein the player featured is presumed to be the protagonist, appears to stand in the entrance to what seems like a burial chamber. According to reports, this gives the fans some hope of possibly seeing the comeback  of the Assassin Tombs that was introduced in "Assassin's Creed II."

If this happens in "Assassin's Creed Empire," reports suggest that the greatest artistic license would have to be taken, since event the tombs of dead royals were not the warren passageways that consist the Brotherhood's Romulus Lairs. Further reports claim that the earliest tombs make up the rectangular structure called mastaba, which is made from mud brick and wood-lined burial chamber cut below the bedrock, Cultured Vultures reported. Watch "Assassin's Creed Empire" Leaks: Why you Should be Excited.
