In Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, players can restore cars that are available, ranging from classic Americana muscle cars to compact cars to modern sports cars, using more than 4,000 car parts.

These cars can either be from those that are already installed in the game, from the downloadable content (DLC) car packs, or from the Steam Workshop where they can download car mods.

One of the said downloadable car mods is the one for the 2018 Audi RS6 Avant, a Third-Generation high-performance executive car made by Audi for its RS6 line. The said car saw production from 2013 to 2018.

Once they have downloaded the car mod file from the Steam Workshop, and pasted it in the game's folder, they can find, and buy, the 2018 Audi RS6 Avant at the Junkyard, the Car Salon, and the Car Auction.

Once they have purchased the car, according to Alex K's YouTube video, they will wash the body and the interior in the Car Wash, then they will move it to one of the Car Lifts that are in the Garage.

From there, they will drain whatever oil that is remaining in the engine using the Oil Drain machine, then they will drain the remaining fluids in their respective reservoirs such as the brake fluid, the coolant, the power steering fluid, and the windshield washer fluid using the Drain Tool.

After they have drained the oil and the fluid, they will disassemble the whole car, and get the parts that they need to repair and replace, until what is left on the Car Lift is the body frame, which they need to repair using the Wielding Machine, as well as its interior detailed.

Then, they will repair the car parts that they can still use in the restoration project by placing them on Repair Tables that are in the Workshop. From there, they will play a minigame, where they will need to accurately hit the green tabs in order to fully fix the said parts. They will also need to recharge the Battery, if there is one, at the Battery Charger.

On the other hand, the parts that cannot be repaired will be sold instead for additional Credits, which they can use to buy new replacement parts, or Performance Parts if they want to increase the car's Tuning percentage. If they bought the car in the Junkyard, they will also need to buy the parts that are missing.

Once they got the repaired and replaced parts, they can start reassembling the whole 2018 Audi RS6 Avant, starting with its engine, which is a V8 DOHC AXK.

In order to build the said engine on the Engine Stand, they will need the engine block, the crankshaft, the pistons with their rings, the crankshaft bearing caps, the rod caps, the oil pan, the oil filter, the flywheel, the clutch plate, the clutch pressure plate, and the clutch release bearing.

They will also need the engine heads, the camshafts, the spark plugs, the engine head covers, the ignition coils, the ignition coil covers, the exhaust manifolds, the intake manifold, the fuel rails, the fuel filter, and the throttle.

They will also need the cam gears, the timing belts, the timing cover, the idler rollers, the water pump and pulley, the crankshaft pulley, the alternator, the power steering pump, the serpentine belts, and the belt tensioner.

Once they finished building the whole engine, they will remove it from the Engine Stand, and then they will put inside the car's engine bay using the Engine Pulley.

Then, they will install the car's internal parts such as the fuel tank and pump, the gearbox, the starter, the battery, the reservoirs, the battery, the fuse boxes and covers with their new relays and fuses, the brake servo, the ABS pump and module, the ECU type B, the radiator with the fan, and the air filters with their bases, covers and clips.

Afterwards, they will install the rest of the parts such as those for the exhaust pipes, the suspension, and the braking system, as well as the tires and rims, the body kit including the doors, the windshield and other glass panels for the windows, the side mirrors, the lights, and the parts for the interior such as the seats and the steering wheel.

Once they finished reassembling the whole car, they will fill the engine, the brake servo, and the reservoirs with a new batch of oil and other fluids, then they will paint the body with the color of their choice in the Paint Booth.

Then, they will move it to the Test Path room to realign the wheels and the lights, as well as to test the newly-installed braking system.

Then, they will move it to the Dyno Test room to tune up the gears in the gearbox and to do a dyno test to the newly-built engine in order to check its performance.

Once they are satisfied with the result, they can now test drive their own 2018 Audi R6 Avant, which they can either sold for additional profit or include in their in-game car collection.
