'Pokemon Unite' Aegislash Guide: What are the Moves of this Newly Added Pokemon

The developers of Pokemon Unite announced the inclusion of Aegislash to the Pokemon-based multiplayer online battle arena's ever-growing roster.

The Steel/Ghost-type Royal Sword Pokemon from Generation VI will enter the game as an All-Rounder that can shift between its Blade Forme and Shield Forme.

The 31st Pokemon in the roster, Aegislash, according to Comicbook, is the second Pokemon to be added in Pokemon Unite for 2022, following the inclusion of Trevenant last January, with two more Pokemon that will be rolled out to the game in the coming weeks.

Enter Aegislash

Aegislash is an All-Rounder that, according to Shacknews, features a blend of offensive abilities that can deal damage to any opponent Pokemon and defense that is built to ward off any attacks.

One of its Passive Moves is Stance Change. This ability allows Aegislash to switch between Blade Forme and Shield Forme after making a move.

In Blade Forme, its movement speed, attack speed, and attack stat are increased, while in the Shield Forme, its Defense and Special Increased are increased instead.

If it makes a Basic Attack while on its Shield Forme, it can make the receiver incapacitated for a short time. It can also restore its HP and reduce the cooldown of several of its moves when it hits.

The other Passive Move is No Guard, which increases both the damage it deals with an opponent Pokemon and the damage it receives from an attack.

Level 1 will start as Honedge with Shadow Sneak and Iron Defense. The former will make it cast a shadow in a designated location, dealing damage to the opposing Pokemon after being hit.

After it hits a Pokemon, it will warp to the shadow's location and deal damage to any nearby Pokemon.

On the other hand, the latter will give Honedge a powerful protective shield that blocks an attack.

If it hits Level 5, it will evolve into Duoblade, and its Shadow Sneak will be changed to either Shadow Claw or Sacred Sword.

The former will allow it to slash three times in a designated direction, dealing damage to any opponent Pokemon it hits, followed by a final slash that can deal damage and throw a Pokemon up.

On the other hand, the latter will make it slam into the ground, creating a triangular zone that can deal damage to any opposing Pokemon that are in the area of effect while throwing them up. After the eruption, it will slash forward, dealing additional damage while partially ignoring their Defense.

At Level 7, its Iron Defense will be changed to either Iron Head or Wide Guard. The former will make it charge in a designated direction, damaging any opponent Pokemon it hits while giving itself a shield that can nullify an attack.

On the other hand, the latter will make it focus for a short time to create a shield, shoving any opponent Pokemon in front of it and stunning them in the process.

Finally, once it hits Level 9, it will evolve into Aegislash and learn its Unite Move that lets it unleash a ground-splitting slash in a direction, dealing damage to any opponent Pokemon that it hits. The lower the percentage of its remaining HP, the more damage it deals.
