'Pokemon GO' Guide: Useful Tips to Evolve Mudkip into Swampert

As "Pokemon Go" Community Day approaches, many players are on the hunt for Mudkip. The Water-type Pokemon from the Hoenn region might be the next big thing you could add to your current roster.

There's also a tendency that you would stick to using it since it could evolve into a more powerful Swampert in its latter stage. But how do you evolve a Mudkip into Swampert? Let's find out in this guide.

Here's a how you can evolve Mudkip into Swampert in "Pokemon GO."

In mainline Pokemon games, evolving a Mudkip into Swampert does not require any complicated and grinding process. Once the little mudskipper hits level 16, it will immediately turn into a Marshtomp, which now adapts to Ground typing. Electric moves are already a no-match against it.

Continue battling many trainers and wild Pokemon until you reach level 36. That's how Marshtomp evolves into Swampert, a stage 2 Pokemon with a high base attack and HP.

How to Evolve Mudkip into Swampert in 'Pokemon Go'

There's a different technique to evolve your Mudkip into Swampert in Niantic's AR game. According to Sportskeeda, you first need to evolve it into Marshtomp before reaching its final evolution phase.

To evolve this Pokemon into Marshtomp, you need to gather 25 Mudkip candies. Then, begin getting the requirements for the Swampert evolution. In this case, you need to snag 100 Mudkip candies to evolve Marshtomp into a Swampert.

At first, it's tedious to grind these numbers, but since "Pokemon Go" Community Day is just around the corner, it will make it easier for you to finish this task.

To increase the spawn rates of Mudkip, you need to use Lure Module and Incense to shorten your hunt. You can take advantage of these items for three hours. Another item that is suited to farming candies is the Pinap Berry.

This kind of Berry doubles your reward. For instance, if you get three Mudkip candies, you will instead get six. That's a significant boost for your evolution quest.

If you commence hunting with Pinap Berries, you only need to catch 21 Mudkips before it hits the final evolution. Considering that you will grind it without using these berries, you will need 42 Mudkips in that case.
