Overcooked! is, to simply put, a cooking simulation game that was released in 2016. Sounds pretty straightforward, right? However, once you start playing the game, you will eventually realize that it is anything but simple.

In fact, the official webste of the game's publisher, Team17, describes Overcooked! as "a chaotic couch co-op cooking game."

The game can be played solo or with up to three other players. A player takes on the role of a chef and the main objective of the team is to serve up properly prepared dishes as orders start coming in. What this means is that the team is charge of preparing ingredients, cooking the dish, serving it, and even washing up plates afterwards.

Chaos ensues when the members of the team are not properly coordinated as the different counters, stations, and even ovens and stoves are located in different parts of the kitchen.

Adding to all the chaos is the fact each level features a different kitchen layout. Some of these kitchen layouts even featuring moving stations and counters.
